Christmas Eve 2016!!!

We had a very relaxing Christmas Eve this year. We were blessed to have Grandma and Grandpa Rye come! We always love spending time with them! Since this is Kaylee and Foster's first year as a married couple, they are starting new traditions. They are spending Christmas Eve with Foster's family and will spend Christmas Day with us. We miss them, but totally understand.

Katie was very excited to set the table! 😆

Karly made these cute place holders after seeing the idea on Pinterest. I think she did a great job! 😀

Since the Angel was too heavy on top of the tree, we got a star. We thought it would work better, but it was still droopy. LOL! 😬

Macy absolutely LOVES Grandma!!! I think the feeling is mutual. 😃

Everyone opens one present on Christmas Eve.

The girls decided to play a video game after Grandma and Grandpa left.

The milk and cookies are out and the letter has been written for Santa.

Kianna was trying to convince me that she was already asleep. Hmmmm.....What do you think? 😉

Someone was actually pretending to be asleep and was quite convincing. Katie came down and helped put presents under the tree and line up all the stockings on the sofa.

Katie finally says Goodnight to Macy and is heading back up to bed. She really freaked me out because I thought everyone was asleep. 😟

Making Ornaments/Decorating the Tree!

A few days before we decorated the Christmas tree, the little girls and I made some cinnamon ornaments. We had lots of fun making them and it sure made our house smell nice and Christmasy! 🙌

Poor Karly was still sick. 😢

Once Karly was feeling better, a few days later, we finally decorated the Christmas tree! We were very blessed to get a tree from my parents. They won it at a Christmas party raffle and they already had a tree. We were very excited. It was a nice tree. Sadly, this was our first year with Kaylee not being there to help decorate the tree. Also, Karissa was staying with Grandma and Grandpa. We decorated without them, but we missed them very much. Next year, we will have to make sure to do this with everyone again.

Each of the girls have their own bin filled with ornaments from each Christmas since they were born.  They are such a special part of Christmas to us. We love remembering each and every person who gave them to us and also what the ornaments represent. It was so hard this year giving Kaylee her box of ornaments to now hang on her own tree with Foster. I am probably ridiculous, but I cried when I saw all her special ornaments from over the years hanging on her and Foster's tree.

Time to put the Angel on the tree! Kyla had to give Tessie a boost.

Khloe and Kyla Straightening it out...It is a bit too heavy for the top of the tree. 😳

                                                           Great job, Girls!!! 💜💜💜
